Some of you might not know that Kristin Chenoweth was the original Glinda in the phenomenal Broadway musical Wicked. Kristin announced that she would reunite with the original wicked cast. If you did not know, some people in the original cast are: Kristin Chenoweth, Idina Menzel, Joel Grey, and Norbert Leo Butz. They were a few of the cast members that opened the show 10 years ago. They performed all over the world for at least a year! Personally, I think bringing them back would be an amazing experience even for one night only.
I saw Wicked in the Fox Theater a few years ago, and it was an amazing experience. The show itself is so entertaining, and the cast were beyond talented. I did not get to see the original cast members perform, but i sure would like to. Even the soundtrack of the original cast blows me away. I cannot imagine what it would be like to hear them in person. The tickets will most likely cost a fortune even if it is the very last row! Seats will be hard to get, but I hope it is possible.
I think that this is a fantastic idea. Let's hope that everyone follows through with it. Would you go and see the show, or is it not a big deal at all to you? Tell me what you think because I most definitely would.

I was cry if this was to happen! getting everyone back together again would be the best thing ever. I am absolutely obsessed with wicked so you better watch out because i would kill for those tickets. If all of the original cast members were to come back together, they need to find a bigger theater!
ReplyDeleteI have never seen the show ( I know, such a shame). I think that it would be super cool to go to something like this! I have heard so many great things about this production. I cant recall ever hearing something negative about it. I wanted to see the show before they wanted to get the cast back together,now this has me really excited. As a person who has never seen this production, I think it would be so cool to have Kristen perform. With all the good things I hve heard about the cast, I am sure the production would not dissapiont. If this happens I will be sure to go on a ticket hunt. The anticipation for this show would be outragous.
ReplyDeleteOne of the things on my bucket list is to see Wicked, and although having the original cast get back together is a dream come true, I doubt I will be able to go. :( The soundtrack is amazing, I completely agree, and seeing it in person would be music to my ears. Literally and figuratively. Maybe one day I will get to see Wicked or Phantom... but for now I guess I'll just have to stick to the soundtrack. :)

DeleteI WOULD BE SO EXCITED IF THIS HAPPENED!!!! I never really had an interest In Wicked until you introduced me to the soundtrack ��. Ever since I have been in love with the music and cannot stop singing it! I have never seen the show; however, the fine arts program is going in February to the fox. I am so excited and cannot wait to see this one! I would be ecstatic to see the original cast perform! I do agree that the tickets would be extremely expensive, though it would be a once in a lifetime experience. I really enjoy your blog and can't wait to see more interesting posts!

ReplyDeleteHope that happens :) This is one of my all time favorite musicals and it would be a priveledge to see the original cast!!! Even if it wasn't the original cast, I look forward to seeing it live soon!
I personally love Wicked! From "Popular" to "Defying Gravity". I was so excited when I heard that Kristin Chenoweth would be joining the original cast again for one last year. I have never seen a Wicked performance but I would love to. My family and I were going to see the show on Broadway during our trip to New York but my younger brother insisted on watching "The Amazing Spider-Man" instead and I can go ahead and tell you, it was not that amazing. I would love to see the original cast of Wicked with Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel. Can not wait for more!
